Saturday & Sunday - the weekend test.
I usually have problems following a 'diet' on weekends because I'm out & about so much... but let's see what happened.

First I PLANNED for Saturday. Remember I traded my lunch on Friday... well, I have a lunch that'll work for me now on Saturday. First things first.

Breakfast:
Oatmeal with an English muffin. Yes a WHOLE english muffin that I sliced and put in the toaster!... Along with it came some "fruit spread"... it was dark blue and smelled of blueberries... ok.. it was a little light on sugar when i tasted it straight, but.. I put 1/2 of it in my oatmeal...and the other half divided between the 2 halves of the English muffin... there was plenty there.. and it tasted good on those things. I guess if I had read the package, I'd have noticed the oatmeal already had cinnamon and apples in it... LOL... so next time I might just use it on the Eng muffin., but hey.. that's FIVE WEEKS away.. I may forget by then.

Lunch:
Well I have a lunch tote I take during the week packed with ice blocks and gel paks.. so I figured, why not use it on Saturday too!... and last nite I went to the super center store and bought some new little glass bowls to store and microwave things in so I dont have to try and carry the big black plastic tub the meals come in. These, I found work great! I opened the lunch and separated it all out... Cottage Cheese in one bowl. Canned Pears & apricots in another. Red grapes in a snack size baggie, a kiwi and 2 packages of Keebler Whole Wheat crackers. Perfect lunch to munch on thru the afternoon!

Dinner:
Gnocchi with Asparagus in Pesto Sauce
These remind me of little "dough balls" or lumps. Not bad... just no particular taste, which is why the Pesto Sauce was good.
The asparagus was good, but I like mine less cooked... more crispy so next time I may nuke that separate for less time. The Almonds & Dried pineapple were delicious and made a good "later snack". I'm all about those "later snacks".
So all in all.... Saturday worked Fine for me... whew! I was worried. I did notice tho, in driving around shopping how many times I think of ...snacking. I didn't, and I'm proud of me.

Sunday -
Breakfast was ...
- Carrot Muffin (warmed 1 min in micro) YUMMMM
- yellow raisins, which I ate throughout the morning...

Lunch I sort of ate on the run... weekends are hectic for me.
So I ate the PASTA SALAD first at home, standing, as I was ready to leave.
Then later, the PEASUNT BUTTER COOKIE and some un-recall-able fruit... LOL

This pasta salad I could see me making one day. It helps that they actually put the name brands of products they use, like Hellman's Lite Mayo. IT had chunks of chicen, spiral pasta and peas.

Notes:
Oh.. and I met 2 more people that know people that were on Seattle Sutton's program, and both reported that it worked. Well of COURSE it works... if you let it.

PS - I still haven't eaten the kiwi from Saturday's lunch... it's a little firm so maybe tonite.
