Day 1:
I have tried many other diets, life-style changes, and eating plans throughout the years. Some work for a while, some just don't work with me. So I am embarking now on this newest attempt... no, let me say success-to-be... method. I like the sound of this method... it's healthy eating... healthy, delicious, and freshly prepared meals...the way we SHOULD be eating. And we probably did before they enlarged forks, deepened spoons, and invented the "up-size it" at the drive thru food places... (those should probably be outlawed).
Anyway, I heard the Seattle Sutton commercial on the radio and I like her honesty. "If you don't lose weight on the 1200 calorie plan, you are either lying in a coma not burning calories, or you're cheating." - Pure & simple isn't it!?
These foods weren't designed just for weight loss. They were designed to be nutritious. Whether you need to change your eating due to Diabetes, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure/Certain Cardiac problems, or Sugar in Type II Diabetes, this is just what the doctor ordered!
Credentials? Ok... Seattle Sutton is a Registered Nurse and her husband was a doctor in Illinois until 1991. She worked as his RN for 22 years before deciding to start this company, and start it she did, in 1985. I didn't know it had been around that long... did you? There are more faq's answered on her website. Check it out: www.seattlesutton.com
The commercial did it.
Ok, so on to Day 1.
Actually I started last nite and that's how it works.
I picked up my food (all fresh) last nite, took it home and pulled out dinner.
The rest went in the refridgerator, NO FREEZING. I organized it by day so I can get to the next day's easiest, but come to find out, it doesnt matter.. you can trade from day to day, as long as you comsume all meals before you receive your next meals.
Last nite's dinner:
Lemon Pepper Loaf - made to resemple meatloaf, using ground turkey. Quite good.
Double stuffed potato - I think this was garlic mashed potatoes spooned into a potato "shell" and twoce baked. Yummy
Steamed apples and...some other reddish fruit. Yummy again.
So far so good.
So, since that is only 1 meal, do I stop there? or bring in the next 2 meals?
Ok... Day 2 (technically) -
Breakfast consisted of a raisin roll (warmed in microwave was wonderful) and a Pluot. Yes.. that's not a typo... a PLUOT
(look it up) is a cross between a Plum & Apricot. It's a sweeter plum and looks like a reddish/yellow plum.
Lunch was a really good quiche (egg whites, Swiss cheese, green onion, cottage cheese)along with a spinach salad....> spinach, grated carrots, red onion (1 strip) with RASPBERRY dressing!
I'm good. This tasted good, and i think it (and the water) will hold me til dinner...
Check back tomorrow, for... Day 2, er.. uh.. Day 3 (I think
